Not Getting CC Info When Importing Into Quickbooks

Postby royhink » Thu Jun 19, 2008 2:29 pm

My accountant is saying that he is not getting the CC info (type, last 4 digits) when he imports our orders into Quickbooks using the Order Transfer module.

I checked his settings in Quickbooks, and they look fine.

We run several stores, and the 8. ShopSite stores give him this info, but the 9. store does not.

Any ideas?

1) in Order Transfer's preferences there is a setting for whether or not to include cc info in the QuickBooks customer record. See the documentation:
http://www.shopsite.com/help/order-tran ... ustomers_2

2) if your Order Transfer connection to your ShopSite is not setup to connect securely via https then ShopSite will not provide the cc details in the order data, regardless of the setting mentioned above.

3) there is also a setting in ShopSite v8.2 and newer to not save credit card info at all in ShopSite orders (this option is usually only implemented by merchants who are using a payment gateway such as Authorize.net, Linkpoint, Payflow Pro, etc in their ShopSite shopping cart), if this is enabled then there is no cc info saved in the order to be provided to Order Transfer. Check for this in Orders -> Security -> Credit Card Storage.

Thanks, Loren,

I assumed you were talking about checking the "Use SSL security in ShopSite (Merchant Interface)" on the Hosting Service page in ShopSite. This solved the issue, but caused all the secure ShopSite nav bar images to show broken links.

This store has always been a little quirky, I think because of my install. I installed the store software on the same drive as the other 2 stores, but the output directory is on a different drive. Does this sound like it would cause this issue?

These are my settings:
ShopSite secure URL: https://www.stockmapagency.com/ss
ShopSite Images secure URL: https://www.stockmapagency.com/shopsite-images

Thanks.
