Shipping software

Postby bakerman » Tue May 27, 2008 1:04 pm

We currently use UPS worldship and USPS online to print our labels and we are looking to streamline this process so we don't have any one manually entering the info.

Is there any software or module (free or to buy) that would do this?

Any help is appreciated.

There are two products on the ShopSite add-ons page that specifically mention UPS WorldShip (and there may be others that work with it but don't mention it here), see:

I am looking for something that I can import or feed into Worldship or other programs so the labels are printed automatically.

Has anyone used Shipworks or Trueship that can give me a review?

I use ShipWorks because it was recommeneded by a friend. I needed an inexpensive order management set up that would do the label work - (import info and print labels on the Zebra printer for UPS) and provides easy tracking of orders. It will import into WorldShip but I have been using UPS online with no problems. It works for me because I have a shipping clerk for pennies a day amd fits my needs at this time.

For USPS you can use multiple services, does delivery confirmation and signature confirmation and works with Endicia or stamps.com I don't use USPS much but I like the option of First Class laser labels rather than Priority for small parcels and mailers, up to four on a sheet.

It generates reports, invoices, packing slips, generates email to the customer and more but I haven't played with all the features because of the lack of time. Templates are XML but they offer support and template help, sign up has a reduced rate. They offer 30 day free trial so I test drove at Christmas. I am far from a techie or geek but it was easy to install and I have had no problems using it with ShopSite Pro 8.0 or 9.0

The Stone Edge Order Manager (www.StoneEdge.com/OrderManager.htm) will import your orders directly from ShopSite. It is a complete system for managing orders, customers, inventory, etc. That includes direct printing of UPS, Fedex and USPS shipping labels. There is also a "Pack and Ship" system that lets you scan the barcode of each item as it is packed, virtually eliminating packing errors. Feel free to give us a call at 610-994-3699 for more information.
