Editing the SKU for a product

Postby extragear » Thu Apr 24, 2008 6:35 am

Hello:

For items that are set up as sub items, what effect does changing the space between primary part of the sku and the secondary part of the sku have?

(I couldnt think of a reason it would be a problem)

For example, an item that comes in three colors could have the part numbers of:

45000 450 (for red)
45000 451 (for blue)
45000 452 (for green)

I need to adjust the amount of spaces between the two numbers so that our order processing system can import the items.

Thanks

White space is often ignored in html code. You could try using & n b s p ; 9with all the characters next to each other not space out like I did to make sure it shows up here) That it the symbol for a non-breaking space in html and should give you additional space between the sku text but may make it harder for your order processing system to work with it.
