Publishing issues

I have aproximately three thousand products in my shop, and have had no major problems for several years, and all of a sudden, when I add a new prduct or products, it takes hours to publish, and I have to go back into the shopsite and click the "continue" button.

Is this a normal problem when you have a large number of pages or products (actually, I didn't think 2 or 3 thousand would be considered a large number).

Also I have having a real problem uploading graphics, I upload just one at the time and continue to get an error message, not all the time, but several times within the last 2 weeks.

Anyone have any ideas, my host, Bizland, hasn't given much help this time.

The problems sound like the server your store is on is overloaded. There are stores with 10s of thousands of products that don't take an hour to publish. I would check with your host and see what can be done about it. An over loaded server could also account for your image upload issues.
