Problem uploading database

Ok, I'm now having a different problem. I've been able to get about 25,000 products uploaded to my site but I run into an error when trying to upload the next 10,000 products:

Query failed: database disk image is malformed(11)

I then cut the upload in half (5,000 products) and got the same error.

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to fix it. I ran into this error before and the hosting company told me to Publish the index page and that seemed to work in the beginning but it didn't work this time.

Go to Utilities -> Database and do a Compact, then try your upload again.

Thanks for the help but the database seems to be bad.

Should I be compacting on a regualr basis?

No. After compacting it is working fine.
