Changing order number series

Hi all,

How do I change the order number series for my store? It's currently overlapping my offline invoice numbers so I want to add a digit. Pro version 9.0.

QuickBooks Order Number and Shopsite's number mingle


When i have a customer call in an order (invoice/PO) I enter the order in quickbooks directly, not online , it creates an order number, e.g. 2501, then when i download say one shopsite order --i f i set the beginning number at 2501, it downloads a 2501 order which shows as 2502 in QB. I use xml oder processor. Now i have (2) diff. order numbers, one in QB and one in Shopsite. It gets much worse if i put many call inorders and then download. Can this work any other way, so i have consitent order numbers everywhere? I think it may just be an unsolvable QB problem with sequential numbering or the issue of not sending Shopsite the last number in its order sequence in QB. I can only think i have to enter orders in Shopsite always?? and never again enter in QB directly. Or manually edit QB orders. Any better ideas??
