Does Shopsite support Ajax?

I think I am going to choose Shopsite Pro for my new store.

Some latest store features require Ajax.

Can I do Ajax stuff with Shopsite Pro?

Here's an example of AJAX within Shopsite that we've been playing with:

This example is especially useful when the customer is browsing a lot of products. It cuts back on the need to repeatedly click products and then click back to the product category page. This makes it less likely you will lose the customer.

So it is possible to use Ajax with ShopSite. Are there any tutorials for doing this in ShopSite or is doing this just required HTML, CSS, and Ajax knowledge?

I am asking since ShopSite uses its own tokens for templates, so I am not sure how you can change the template itself and put Ajax in there?
