Search configuration

Postby 8900200 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 3:12 pm

I am setting up my search settings and have hit a speed bump. We have 25 pages with categories like "Giuseppe Armani Figurines" and the client would like to be able to search for that phrase and see all of the sub products. The system does do this by default it looks like. How, other than adding the category name to each of the product titles, can I accomplish this? I thought I saw some setting that referred to stemming, etc. but I can't recall where to find it. And I am not sure this would even help.

Thanks

I'm not sure if you wanted something more technical, but...

It sounds to me like if they entered in that search, they'd come right up to the page you'd want them to. If you wanted more products to show up in the search that aren't listed on that page, try adding the desired key words into the Product Info page. That way you can judge which words the customer will enter and which products will appear when they search for them.

You shouldn't need to change the name of the product at all.
