Two questions

Postby hiamps » Wed Oct 10, 2007 9:09 am

I have just purchased a second shopsite pro account. On my first account I have a static page as the home page with my domain name. On the second account I had hostcentric point my new domain name at shopsite. Now when you type the domain name in the address bar my new home page shows up. But any pages I make after that I get the following message..."Page not found
The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
I also can not view my website from shopsite.

Second, I found a button somewhere in shopsite that makes my graphic show on the top of all pages but can't remember how to do it now. How can I make it show up on my new website?

For your first question, I have gone to your website, and I cannot recreate this issue. However it looks like your ShopSite store is in a subdirectory of your domain. You could be getting an error if it is looking for your ShopSite created pages in the root of your domain, rather then in the 'store' subdirectory. To see if this is the case, you can use the full URL for page links, rather than just the file names. For example instead of:
candles.htm

Use the full URL:
http://swanscandles.com/store/candles.htm

For your second question, each ShopSite template displays the page graphic in different places. In many of the templates, you can go to Pages > Edit Page Content, and select a banner graphic which will appear at the top of your page. I believe in the template that you are using, Elite, that the banner graphic is displayed in the body of the page, below the page name. If you would like to have a graphic at the top of the page for the header, then you would need to ad HTML into the header field to display that graphic. You would go to Preferences > Header/Footer, then enter code similar tot he following, using your header graphic URL:

<a href="http://swanscandles.com">
<img src="http://swanscandles.com/store/media/logo.jpg" border="0">
</a>
