ShopSite creates a tag bracket erroneously

Postby GiftSpecialists » Sun Aug 26, 2007 7:30 pm

I published a product more info page that uses a custom template, and I accidentally had a PAGE tag in my "header" include.

I fixed the tag, except now ShopSite always inserts "[--" right after the spot where the header include is inserted.

Here's the funny part, If I rename the include it works correctly. But if I use an include named "header" ShopSite always adds "[--" to the beginning of the include file. I even deleted the include and recreated it - same reuslt. I even deleted all info in the include except a "." and Shopsite puts ".[--" on the page.

So now I can't use an include named header or it gets corrupt.

ShopSite is remembering this include name somewhere. How can I clear ShopSite's memory of this include so that I can use the name "header"?

Thank for your help.

Do you have this INCLUDE used in multiple places? If so, in some places are you using it with the PROCESS parameter, and in other places not? If so, try using it the same way in all places and see if this helps.

Thaks Loren,

That did the trick. Can you please explain what the "Process" tag does?

Thanks.

PROCESS is not a tag, it is an optional parameter you can provide in an INCLUDE tag. If PROCESS parameter is included in the tag, then the include file specified will be checked for additional custom template tags. If the PROCESS parameter is NOT included in the tag, then the include file will not be checked for additional custom template tags, i.e. the contents of the include file will be dumped, verbatim, into the resulting page.
