Variable Names

Is there any way to use variable naming (along with variable pricing) for a product, but not have it insert "Variable - " before the name? What is the point of that anyway? Can that be taken out somehow? I would like to use variable naming for external "Add to cart" links, but I don't want it to end up saying "Variable" before every product in the cart.

Oh, apparently the SKUs do the same thing! How annoying. This is such a useful feature for me as a developer, but not at all if I can't get it to look like a normal SKU and name. Is there ANY way to fix that?

You can change or remove the 'Variable -' and 'Variable SKU -' prefixes, edit these settings in the Preferences -> Store Text -> Shopping Cart menu. To remove it, replace the text in the setting with a blank space (without the space, default text will be used).
